Me & My Gang

I've been neglecting my xanga and even though I know a lot of people don't read it anymore, I keep writing.

Anyway. So today my dad called me and informed me that my youngest brother, Steven, is in the ICU at Children's Hospital. Apparently his blood pressure was really high, his body is retaining a lot more fluid than it should be, and it's causing him to like puff up in certain areas like his face and ankles. They've been running a lot of tests but they aren't sure what's wrong. I hate being two and a half hours away without a car when things like this happen. My brother has only been in the hospital like three times in his life and he's 16 now. He's also never really been seriously sick, so I'm definitely worried. I just hate that there is nothing I can do besides check my cell phone every 5 minutes to see if my parents call with more info .

I went home this past weekend and needless to say it was amazing. My friends from home mean the world to me and I honestly don't know what I would do without them! Thanks for making every weekend at home even more amazing than the last! I love you all!!

Alright, well I'm going to go get some sleep, please keep my brother and family in your prayers! Thanks!

This entry is dedicated to my amazing friends.

I'm sure I probably already wrote a little entry about how awesome they have been this week, but I figured I should elaborate a little more. While some people may not think spending their spring break in Ohio with snow, rain, and cold weather would be fun, I would have to disagree. I may have had to deal with the snow, the rain, and cold weather on my spring break but it was all worth it. It was worth it because I got to spend it with my most favorite people in the entire world .

Without my friends here, this would have been the most boring spring break on the planet. Because of them, it was the best spring break on the planet. I wouldn't change a thing, not even the sometimes crappy weather because it all played a part in this amazing week. I'm actually glad I didn't get to go to Myrtle Beach because I wouldn't have the memories that I have now:

-Kicking off my spring break at Chipotle with Melinda, Lace, and Amanda, then chillin at Lacy's house with the three of them and Jackie. Don't worry Jackie, your sweatshirt is keeping a homeless man really warm right now .

-My first Apt. experience with Lacy and Melinda.

-St. Patricks Day party at Bushie's house. Despite the fact that people are retarded and start fights.

-CiCi's with Turner! It was definitely good seeing her after like a million years of never getting together.

-BONFIRE!!! with Lacy, Bam, Amanda, Melinda, Zuke, and everyone else who stopped by. Easily my favorite night of spring break..."It's because I'm Asian". Zuke eating all the cookies and then almost an entire bag of pizza rolls. Me shot-gunning my first beer. Throwing frozen marshmallows at each other. "It doesn't even have to be a race, we can just do it for fun." -referring to chugging a beer with someone. The Bonfire Party Mix. Dupe being obnoxious. Sam and Heather stopping by. Bill Dawg running into a wall. My talk with Amanda about how Lacy secretly hates me. Bam falling over in the kitchen. Bagel Cafe the next day with Bam, Lace, Melinda, Amanda, and Jackie. That night was pretty much amazing

-Two different trips to Friendly's. Candace and Shay were with me both times and Melinda the first. YAY for getting kids meals with the free sundaes the second time around!

-Watching Rent with Shay while she scrapbooked. She's basically a professional, and that movie is basically amazing!

-Hammerjacks with Melinda, Shay, and Candace. Then making Kris come with us to Steak and Shake afterwards.

-BW3's with Lacy and our madres .

-KENNY CHESNEY CONCERT WITH SIDNEY!!!!!  That concert was seriously amazing. Completely worth the 75 dollars I paid to go! Dierks Bentley was awesome, Sugarland was awesome, and Kenny sang for two whole hours! This little kid in front of us, who was probably 6 years old, was singing along to every chorus of every song and it was the cutest thing ever! Just picture a 6 year old singing, well more like screaming, "Sit right here and have another beer in Mexico." It was hysterical

-Spending some quality time with Sam and eating Chipotle . What could be better?! She's pretty much the coolest girl in the world, and she bought my burrito so that of course makes her even cooler.

-The randomness that was tonight...making a hilarious sign for Kris about a certain inside joke and taping it on the door to his basement. Spending like two hours at Lincoln Park Grille with Shay, Candace, Melinda, Kris, Mike, and random girls. Playing Poker and then some seriously intense games of speed. FYI don't play Candace at speed, she talks shit and she can definitely back it up. Going to Nortons to play pool afterwards.

Ummm...it's 4am, my brain officially quit working. More on all of this tomorrow...

I'M SEEING KENNY CHESNEY, DIERKS BENTLEY AND SUGARLAND TOMORROW!!!!!

It's okay to be jealous .

Lacy and I decided that our motto for this summer is Go Big or Go Home since it's her last summer before leaving for college. We're doin' it big

- Real Fine Place

I was sitting at Shay's tonight, watching Rent and scrapbooking. Well, okay, I was watching her scrapbook because she's amazing. Anyway, we were sitting there talking about how movies about high school are so incredibly off base when it comes to what certain aspects of high school are really like. FYI we were watching 10 Things I Hate About You so you know where we got these ideas from.

For instance, when have you ever been to a party where people take over the entire house and totally disrespect and destroy all of the stuff in the house? Now granted, there may have been one or two of those in high school, but it was usually where people showed up who didn't like the person living there and purposely trashed the place. However, when it comes to the majority, that sort of thing does not happen.

Also, have you ever noticed in teen movies how they make prom out to be this huge deal all about having sex afterwards? I don't really recall any of my friends planning on getting hotel rooms afterwards or planning their entire prom around the best way to get in bed with their date when it's over. Seriously, I know some couples who have been dating for a long period of time may have done this, but it wasn't like everyone was looking to "score" like they make it out to be in the movies. At my high school most of them were just looking to get drunk after.

Oh, and then there's the live band at prom that you see in the movies. Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't really want one of those at our proms. Think about it. You have the same band performing the same style of music for three hours?! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love certain bands, but even I would not want to only hear their songs for three hours straight at a dance. You have to have variety.

Then of course you have the size of the high school. Take for instance the high school in 10 Things I Hate About You. That high school is huge. It seriously looks like the size of a castle somewhere in Europe. When have you ever seen a high school that big or that nice? It's just not realistic. I know our high school was big, but never in a million years would it ever look like the high school in 10 Things I Hate About You.

Okay, so this is just a little food for thought. Or just me rambling, however you choose to look at it. If no one else appreciates it, I know Shay will. Either way I'm not deleting it, but you may see a not so pointless entry tomorrow. Check back to find out .

- When I Hear Your Name

So finals are almost over . As of 10am tomorrow I will be on my way home and done with Winter Quarter . Words can't really describe how stressful this quarter has been for me. I couldn't be happier that it's ending.

Most of my friends are going on a trip for Spring Break but I'm just heading home to Ktown for the week. Going home for Spring Break may not seem that exciting for some people, but I'm actually really pumped about it. A week of relaxing and hanging out with my bests sounds pretty good to me .

Is there a better way to start off spring break than a trip to Chipotle with four (Amanda we need a pic of the two of us!) of my absolute favorite people?? Yeah, I can't think of anything.

Who knows what the rest of the week will hold....a visit from Sidney and the Kenny concert are in the mix. I plan on having a lot of fun this week because I've been counting down the days. If you're at home and want to hang out, just call me .

Alright, well I should really be studying for my Stats exam and packing my stuff, so that's all for now. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MY GIRLS TOMORROW!!!
